Adventures of a Book Junkie

Beware of Incessant Rambling. Seriously. Consider yourself warned. However, if you want more, check out my blog at www.toofondofbooks.com

Infinityglass - Myra McEntire Infinityglass is a satisfying ending to the trilogy. I absolutely loved Hallie and Dune. The snark and spark they have together is phenomenal, and when you add the entire cast of characters that Myra has created, it's damn near perfection. I'm sad to leave this world, but it couldn't have ended in a better way.
Rebel Belle - Rachel Hawkins Love love love this premise and Rachel executed it perfectly. Harper is a lot of fun. I really enjoyed her inner monologue and her [very strong] desire to make sure things get done. She's driven and snarky with impeccable manners. The story was interesting, the boys were delicious, it was a fun read from beginning to end.
The Infinite Moment of Us - Lauren Myracle This book was perfection. I loved everything about it: the characters and the story and the duel POV. There were some awesome swoons, some heartbreaking moments and of course, some scenes where I wanted to jump in and slap the characters around. But Wren and Charlie are great characters and their story is believable and absolutely enjoyable. **Thanks to NetGalley for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review**
All Our Yesterdays - Cristin Terrill I'm left speechless after finishing this book. It was action packed and swoony and funny and silly and phenomenal. Loved the characters, loved the plot, loved every single page.
Scarlet - Marissa Meyer I wish someone would have told me it was better than Cinder. I would have been all over this book instead of waiting so long. It was perfection. I loved the story, LOVED Scarlet and Wolf. Their interactions were a lot of fun and the tension was delicious. I can't wait to see what's next.
Goddess Interrupted - Aimee Carter I loved this one more than the first one. Kate seemed to be much stronger, tenacious even. She knew that Henry was what she wanted and she never stopped fighting for him. As for Henry, most of the time I wanted to slap him. Of course, once it was all explained, it was all swoons all the time. The ending nearly killed me, I'm so happy that I don't have to wait for the third one.*Thanks to Edelweiss for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review*

The Goddess Inheritance

The Goddess Inheritance - Aimee Carter This was so frustratingly good. I really would have liked to slap almost everyone in this book, but it was absolutely fantastic. Loved the progress, the action and of course the ending. *Thanks to Edelweiss for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review*
The Goddess Test - Aimee Carter Very clever take on mythology. I liked the build of the story and how it was resolved.Kate and Henry were both characters I really liked. She was smart and caring, he was proper [I love when boys don't use contractions] and had some fantastic swoons. I'm starting the second one immediately.
Curtsies & Conspiracies - Gail Carriger Another fun story with excellent characters and gadgets. I especially love the addition of Felix and hope we see more of him.
Frigid - J. Lynn, Jennifer L. Armentrout I've always loved BFF-to-more stories, even though they're a bit predictable. Frigid was no exception. I loved the duel POVs and the story line. The only thing I didn't care for was Sydney's inner monologue when it came to how she looked. It was a little too "I'm not pretty enough or good enough" for my liking. One comment from one boy after one encounter shouldn't have ruined this girl's dating life forever. Of course, it is a main motivator for her actions, so it makes sense....Kyler was cocky as hell and it was fantastic. He's a typical boy and does dumb boy stuff, but his feelings are conveyed nicely and like I said, it was fantastic being in his head. Overall, I really enjoyed the story. I knew where it was going and where it was ending up, but it was an entertaining ride.
SYLO - D.J. MacHale This one kept me guessing through the entire book. Just when I thought I might have part of it figured out, everything changed.Fast paced right from the start and doesn't let go. Great characters and an ending that had me dying for the next book.

Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer

Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer - Katie Alender 3.5 stars The story is clever and enjoyable. It kept me captivated. Colette is a decent MC. She wants to be a good person, but her "mean girl" friends and the status she gets from them take precedence over her decisions. Until the very end of the book. The star of the book was definitely the city of Paris. I absolutely loved how it was portrayed in this book. The city just comes alive in the descriptions.
Outcast - Adrienne Kress 4.5 starsA completely new look at angels. I loved the plot: it was fast paced and didn't slow down once. Riley and Gabe are both a lot of fun. She's got a great inner monologue and the sarcasm is some of the best. This is a girl I want to hang out with, but we'd probably get arrested. Gabe is delightful. He's a bit campy, but it absolutely works and when he turns on the charm, it takes your breath away. I'm a bit torn at the ending. It completely makes sense for the story, but I definitely wanted more.**Thank you to NetGalley for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review**

Charmed Vengeance

Charmed Vengeance - Suzanne Lazear I liked this one a lot more than the first one. It was fast paced and I loved following the various characters. Noli's "battle" was interesting to watch unfold, I can't wait to see what happens with that whole situation. And the dynamic between her and her brother was fun to read. The ending was fantastic and makes me really eager for the next book.**Thanks to NetGalley for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review**

Quarantine #2: The Saints

The Saints - Lex Thomas This book was a a lot faster than the first one. It was interesting to see the shift of new characters coming into the school, plus the movement of the old characters trying to figure things out. There was a lot of character growth and a plot line that was captivating. It didn't feel like the exact same thing. I'm eagerly waiting for the third book*Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with the arc in exchange for an honest review*
Quarantine: The Loners - Lex Thomas Quite an interesting take on the story. I really enjoyed the high school twist and the impact it had on how things played out. I would have liked more information about the outside, but it was very effective in making me feel sequestered.
