I'll be honest, I didn't want to read this book at all. I didn't care how fantastic the writing was or how swoony the boy was, it wasn't a topic I wanted to deal with. Especially after hearing that nearly everyone who's read it is a blubbering hot mess at the end. I have another confession. One night, I picked it up and read the last 20 or so pages of the book. I didn't know wtf was going on with all of the characters, but I knew the ending. And, ohhh, it was amazing. There just aren't words. The writing IS amazing. And the boy IS super swoony. And yes, the topic is so sad, but it's real and unlike anything I've ever read in my life. Most importantly, I DIDN'T CRY.
